Sean Michael Cook, LMFT

CAMFT Certified Clinical Supervisor

Sean is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and clinical supervisor with more than 35 years of international experience studying and practicing depth-oriented, relational, and systems-based approaches to psychological growth. His work integrates trauma-informed psychotherapy, family systems, attachment theory, Jungian and archetypal psychology, mindfulness-based awareness, and practical clinical discernment. Sean brings a grounded, highly attuned presence to complex emotional and relational situations, helping clients and clinicians make sense of the deeper patterns beneath anxiety, depression, conflict, crisis, and life transition.

Sean specializes in couples counseling, relational repair, and individuation—the process of becoming more fully oneself within the realities of love, family, vocation, identity, and change. He works especially well with individuals and couples navigating major thresholds: partnership stress, family-of-origin patterns, identity formation, career and vocational change, relocation, grief, rupture, and the search for renewed meaning and direction. As a clinical supervisor, Sean supports associates in developing ethical clarity, emotional steadiness, systemic thinking, and a deeper capacity to understand both the client’s presenting symptoms and the larger story those symptoms may be trying to reveal.
