Avery Williams
Avery Williams received her Master’s In Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Naropa University, specializing in Mindfulness Based Transpersonal Psychology. She is an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor in California (#17905). Avery's work is informed by Existential, Multicultural and Transpersonal Psychology, with a strong emphasis in spiritual practices. In her work she incorporates mindfulness meditation, somatic experiencing and regulation, gestalt and intuitive energy work and creative expression.
As a queer woman Avery enjoys working with members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, both individually and as couples. She works primarily with young adults and adolescents. Areas of focus are: life transitions, relationship conflict, spiritual exploration, socio-political anxiety, survivors of abuse, gender dysphoria, self esteem and body image issues, anxiety and depression, PTSD, burnout, sex and sexuality. As a deep listener, Avery offers compassion and validation while also being direct and authentic.
