Your Potentials…

Coaching

Your Potentials is…

  • Part behavior mod (“act as if…”)
  • Part systems work (family, culture)
  • Part depth work (unconscious, dream, myth)
  • Part creative expression  (story telling) (art, music, writing)
  • Part life coaching (motivational, belief)
  • Part spiritual practice (we are living in an a material world…)
  • Part nutrition/physical fitness (grounding)

Your Potentials is…

A system by which you may meet your needs,
explore, and set a course to meet…yourSELF

With Your Potentials, after an initial consult where we establish…

  • What is important to you? (values)
  • What nags you? (discrepancies)
  • What wakes you up in the middle of the night? (split offs)
  • What do you do that’s wasteful? (shadow)
  • How can you make better use of your resources?
  • How can you consolidate?

We form and establish a plan to…
devote small amounts of time to each actionable value…

Aligning Your Life

What Is Life Coaching?

Life Coaching is a profession designed to help you reach your potentials, meet a goal, or make a change in your lives. I can help guide you through the process of change by asking questions that help you evaluate and decide which steps to take in order to take steps toward the life you were meant to live, reach your goal, or make an important change.

The coaching roles differ from that of a therapist. They are that of a motivator, strategist and accountability partner. Our collaborative goal is to help you reach your goal in the most efficient, effective and rewarding way possible.

As a Life Coaches I am more than just counselor or consultant.  My role is to step you through the achievement process from the beginning to the end; from the planning stage all the way through the execution and completion stages of specific goals and tasks.

Positive Psychology is the preferred approach to Life Coaching

Positive psychology is considered the scientific study of what makes life most worth living, and positive human functioning and flourishing on multiple levels that include the biological, personal, relational, institutional, cultural, and global dimensions of life. Positive psychology is concerned with eudaimonia, “the good life”, reflection about what holds the greatest value in life – the factors that contribute the most to a well-lived and fulfilling life.

How I help

My Coaching Practice

My coaching practice is unique in that I was first, and still am, a licensed mental health professional, psychotherapist, and graduate school professor of psychology. Because mood issues are quite commonly experienced, I am adept at differentiating mood conditions from motivational goal strategizing, and I’m comprehensively oriented toward their relationship with the world.

Many who don’t fit into standardized systems experience demoralization that leads to depression and anxiety, and goal setting and strategizing can intersect with a wide variety of mental health issues. My work as a coach began as advocating for people with ADHD in the community mental health setting. This expanded to working with a wide variety neuro-diverse conditions, helping folks with sensitive nervous systems (sensitivity to light, sound, and stressors, both internal and external) make the adjustments necessary to bring out your best and meet your potentials.

Individualized Plans

Boutique Service

The benefit to this is flexibility. If you have to cancel a weekly session, you have the opportunity to make it up later in the month. You are paying for 4 sessions per month, with the exception of December and August. Your “membership plan” entitles you to 3 sessions during the month of November, and 3 sessions during the month of December. “Your Potentials” Contract entitles you to 50 sessions per annum payable in monthly installments of $600 per month, plus processing fees, such as charges made by your financial institutions.

This includes approximately 4 face to face 50 minute session per month. Face-to-face also includes Skype sessions. There is no “rollover” of sessions, in other words, if you do not use your 4 sessions in that month, you cannot roll over the sessions to the next month. (Some exceptions will be made based on extenuating circumstances, but as a general rule, this stands.)

Boutique Services include
  • Weekly, or twice weekly tele-conferencing session
  • Check ins between sessions and invoice submissions
  • Written or consult Progress reports/summaries

  • Email supports for specific tasks or “homework” assignments
  • Availability between sessions via text, email, phone (Skype for additional supports House calls when necessary)
  • Family therapy if warranted
  • Conjoint when needed, if it pertains to treatment goals of identified unit of treatment
APPOINTMENT SCHEDULING AND CANCELLATION POLICIES

Sessions are typically scheduled to occur one time per week at the same time and day if possible. Your coach may suggest a different amount of therapy depending on the nature and severity of your concerns. Your consistent attendance greatly contributes to a successful outcome. In order to cancel or reschedule an appointment, you are expected to notify your coach at least 24 hrs in advance of your appointment. If you do not provide your coach with at least 24 hours notice in advance, you are responsible for payment for the missed session.
