How I help

Chris’ Work Focus

Chris’ work focuses on matters related to:

  • LGBTQ Affirmative Psychology
  • Internalized Homophobia
  • Self Esteem
  • Coming Out
  • Body Image
  • Men’s Issues
  • Stress
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Substance Abuse and Sobriety
  • Family Conflict
  • Spirituality
  • Family Addiction Challenges
  • Adult Children of Alcoholics
  • Life Transitions
  • Career Counseling

Prior to becoming a therapist, Chris taught social-emotional learning (SEL) throughout Southern California for six years at high schools, after school programs, the Los Angeles LGBT Center’s Homeless Youth Shelter, and Los Angeles Central Juvenile Hall.

Additional Work

He gives workshops and presentations for colleges, conferences, and organizations across the U.S. on topics such as: anti-bullying, spirituality & religious trauma, mental health & LGBTQ populations, “inner advocacy,” and how to raise LGBTQ allies.
